About Jessica

HI! I'm Jessica and I am a mom to three beautiful girls, who hate when I try to take their picture, go figure. I have wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember. As early as middle school I remember bringing my camera everywhere I went. Before becoming a photographer I was a special educator with 10 + years of experience, a masters, and a certificate in Applied Behavioral Analysis and I loved working with my students. I have experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities, and I hope to use my skills from teaching to help engage with children to help capture their best selves.

 

As much as I loved working with children, photography was always something that interested me. I always had a camera in my hand and enjoyed photographing everyone and everything. So, I learned more about photography beyond just taking a nice picture, I bought the better cameras, the prime lenses, took classes and found an amazing mentor to help take my love of photography to the next level. I took the time to make my photos better and to truly understand what made a photo great. I use this knowledge and patience with each of my clients and sessions.

 

I'm a lover a natural light and natural backgrounds. I'm a huge fan of a gorgeous sunset and sunrise, and I love capturing moments in time. Some of my favorite photos are candid and, in the moment, I think they make for the best memories and are frame worthy.
